Two morning updates for all two of my readers. The biggest one is, I have secured employment that starts next week! Still part-time, still chasing the elusive work-family balance, but I’m excited and optimistic. So, the LinkedIn link is GONE. You’ll have to go there and search if you’re dying to see my profile.
Second – I added something to “Tools I Love”. It’s TinyURL. Very cool site… copy/paste a huge long URL into their box and they convert it to something easily pasted into an email or TXT. Fun stuff, kids. Check it out.

Good luck with the new gig. There is no perfect balance, so don’t make yourself crazy looking for it. Just figuring out what’s doable is quite enough.
Congrats on the job. I’m still looking for a way to really achieve that work-life balance that doesn’t involve me flinging my hands up in the air and quitting work on the spot during a particularly rough week (like the one that just passed). ;-)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! WHOOOOT!
Aw, thanks you guys! I left full-time employment in September because this part-time, self-employed consulting thing had the potential to have me earning lots more while working less. Yet, for some reason, the hours never came in the amount I wanted. But get this, I posted my complete profile on LinkedIn and my new employer FOUND ME there. I hadn’t even begun to really actively look. I believe that, in these tumultuous economic times, prudence dictates that I’m better off on someone’s W-2 with the option for benefits and an immediately-vested retirement plan match.
I pledge to keep up the blog, though. Because you readers? You ROCK!
What this thing called LinkedIn?
