Happy to be back home after 1100+ miles of driving in 4 days. I am alone tonight, just me and the kitties, and yes I’m already in my Jammies because there’s no one here to suggest I do otherwise. (Not that anyone would.) Ruca saw I was knitting and joined me to “supervise.” . . I so enjoyed reconnecting with family over the holiday, and visiting my old stomping grounds, but I also find I need quiet time to restore, now more than ever. Just when I think I’ve achieved some semblance of balance, my needs shift again. Know thyself. . . So tonight I sit in welcome silence and knit, and think. I feel deep gratitude. Tomorrow my people start returning home, and I can’t wait to see them! Next week we begin in earnest our preparations for Christmas and New Year’s, and I look forward to a season of celebration and reconnection and contemplation. . . . #saturdayvibes #saturdaynight #gratitudeattitude #extrovertedintrovert #introvertedextrovert
